National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) Compliant
Video Surveillance for Government Facilities

In 2019, the US Government passed 2019-NDAA, in part, due to major concerns that video surveillance and security equipment sold by certain Chinese companies exposed the U.S. Government to significant vulnerabilities. This sanction specifically banned equipment from Huawei, Hikvision, and Dahua. The problem that many video surveillance integrators and government agencies face, is that much of this equipment is dificult to identify, leaving thousands of facilities in the U.S. out of compliance even now. Roughly 80% of Huawei, Hikvision, and Dahua's U.S. sales are being made as white label OEMs, rather than sales direct to to customers or installers under their actual brand names. This means thousands of Hikvision and Dahua Cameras and DVRs, and equipment using Huawei Chipsets are being sold to citizens and Government Agencies unbranded or with a different brand name printed on the side. These cameras, however, are still 2019-NDAA banned devices which are slipping under the radar due to this white label sales tactic. In addition to assistance identifying non-compliant hardware in your network, here's how we can help your agency:

Compliant Cameras
Stinger Networks is committed to bringing your agency the best compliant camera offerings. To that end, we have partnered with Vision America, a leader in the surveillance industry. Hanwha cameras deliver exceptional picture quality, featuring the highest level of detail and photorealism on the market. Secure Installation

Proper installation of cameras is essential to surveillance system security. If a cameras's wiring is easily identified and accessible, it significantly increases the risk of cameras being tampered with and disabled. We ensure exterior cameras are mounted flush against wall surfaces and overhang soffit. Interior cameras are mounted direct to ceillings. We also ensure all wiring is run inside of walls and ceiling spaces or concealed appropriately where required.

Video Storage & Networking

The Video Network and Storage Hardware are the backbone of a surveillance system. The network switches are not only responsible for the cameras reliably transmitting footage back to the storage server but also reliably powering all your cameras. Low quality switching hardware can cause even the best cameras to fail. Additionally, poor quality storage hardware could mean your camera system is down when you need it the most. We use all Aruba Switches, Dell EMC Enterprise servers with Western Digital surveillance-grade hard drives.

Video Managment Software (VMS)

Video Managment Software is the most important part of any surveillance system. It recieves, processes and stores footage ensuring live view and storage recall work when you need them. VMS solutions for the government sector are subject to rigorous security requirements under NDAA. To this end we have partnered with WISENET Wave VMS, an ASTORS Homeland Security Gold Award winner in 2018 and 2019, built and operated right here in the United States.
